![]() While waiting for my food, a quick Google search revealed that apparently, The Squawking Goat is what everybody who visits Maple Street Biscuit Company, is raving about, so my expectations were sky high. Instead, they ask you to answer a question, which changes on a daily basis, and when I was there, the question was, who my favorite teacher was (favorite teacher, oh, that’s Hanne!). It’s self service at Maple Street, but they don’t ask for your name with your order. ![]() The goat cheese/chicken combo sounded delicious, so that’s what I ordered. I asked the staff, and they suggested The Squawking Goat, which is a biscuit sandwich with fried chicken and goat cheese. They both serve biscuits with gravy and biscuit sandwiches, so how is a girl to choose? Maple Street Biscuit Company is a chain restaurant known for, surprise, surprise, biscuits. It was around noon, but I can eat breakfast all day, so when I saw Maple Street Biscuit Company, just off Main Street, I immediately decided to give it a shot. I would definitely eat here again but probably on a less busy day with different order choices. While I was waiting to check in at the hotel, I went for a walk down Main Street, looking for a place to have late breakfast. The biscuits are HUGE so we didn't bother attempting to eat with our hands lol. Once returned he definitely enjoyed the biscuit but did feel the gravy was a built too salty. The staff was very nice and accommodated quickly. ![]() My husband had to send his Cowboy biscuit back because he requested a well done fried egg but it was still runny. The Sticky Maple Biscuit was super tasty! The chicken on the biscuit was a bit spicy which caught me off guard but it's balanced out well with the syrup base on the plate and the buttery biscuit. I liked the Maple Mocha Latte's taste but would have like a little more espresso in it. The berry jam used to make them is very thick and rich so a little bit would go along way but the amount added to them made the mimosas hard to enjoy. The Berry Fields Mimosas were WAYYYYY too sweet. I ordered the Maple Mocha Latte, Berry Fields Mimosa and The Sticky Maple Biscuit. My husband ordered The Cowboy biscuit and the Berry Fields Mimosa. When you place your order the cashier asks a question of the day and your answer is called out with the name on the order, which was pretty cool. The concept is cool but a bit overwhelming when busy as we had to hover around a while before seats became available. Once your order is placed the restaurant seating is community style & you seat yourself. We probably waited about 45 minutes before we made it to the cashier to order. ![]() Upon entry the line was out the door but the staff was very efficient by passing out menus to patrons to review while in line. Free public parking was available behind the restaurant and others making it easy to walk to and see other shops & restaurants on the way there. Maple Street Biscuit Company was pretty easy to locate in downtown Duluth. Decided to give this restaurant a try while in the area with my Husband on a Saturday morning.
